Description:
In the late 1940s, construction of a high-rise building was started on the square according to the design of architects M.V. Posokhin, A.A. Mndoyants, engineer M.N. Vokhomsky, for which the area in question was reconstructed once again. The square was expanded to Kudrinsky Lane by demolishing low-value buildings and moving houses that needed to be preserved.
The high-rise residential building was built by 1954. The development and planning of the area in question has not undergone significant changes to this day.
The high-rise building on Kudrinskaya Square consists of a central 22-story building 160 m high and 18-story side buildings. The building has a three-part symmetrical composition. The side wings of the building are erected in steps, the first step comes out at the height of the 8th floor, the second – at the height of the 13th. The steps, as a compositional device, connect the building with the urban development.
