Description:
The residential building located at 11 Dekabristov Street is a wonderful example of ordinary, fabric construction in the city of Kaluga in the 19th century in the classical style.
In the first third of the 19th century, the house in Georgievskiy Lane (now Dekabristov Street) belonged to the Kaluga merchant Grigory Alekseevich Kudryavtsev. The address of the estate before 1838: 2nd part, 1st block, No. 385. Estimated value in 1832-1836 – 4000 rubles. From the middle of the century the estate was owned by Kaluga merchants Sidelnikovs – Elizaveta Filippovna, then her son – Grigory Alekseevich. During their time, judging by the estimated value of 1,000 rubles in 1894–1909, the main volume of the building did not undergo significant reconstruction. The address of the estate until the mid-1890s: 2nd part, 2nd block, No. 3673. In the early 1920s, the building was municipalized from Alexander Vasilyevich Sidelnikov and came under the jurisdiction of the City Housing Administration.
